Seeing Abilities

Let me explain some context for these photos.

I was reading by early morning light. Two deer were in the yard on the tree line browsing. I was reading Hebrews 4:13 “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight”. Looking up I saw the deer had slipped into the woods out of sight. I started laughing at myself. There are times when I think I’m really somebody. I know you can’t relate…But, I can’t even keep track of a deer!

If what can be seen by us is amazing, just think what God sees and what he wants to show us. I have selected a few autumn shots taken the last couple days. Click for a slide show

I love the symbolism of nature except for the part where we are playing is leaves. we will fade and drop someday. We don’t get the super powers and we only live for a season of time. Thankfully, our creator knows everything about us, out thoughts and motives…everything, and still wants a relationship with us. In Him is life, let Him in.

What’s in there? Does my door even open anymore?

Jesus said “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” Revelation 3:20 (In Other Words, Let Him in).

Ahhh… the symbolism. The simplest picture can touch the edges of eternity

    1. Thanks Bruce. You observe well. I never cease to be amazed at how much detail I miss in everyday life. Then I look through a camera lens and get a pin point perspective. There is a truth there as we all have our life lens we look through and try to share with others what we see with words.

  1. Beautiful thoughts and beautiful photos! Fall is still yet to show her face around our home, so this is a welcome foretaste with eternal reminders, thank you. I really liked the moon shot! God bless!

  2. Thanks Craig. Yes, you have a lot to look forward to. Here, we are losing the leaves with a rain and high winds. I can still get some decent colors in the woods and on the trails. Weather has been above freezing at nights so the leaves hung on for quite a while. That will end soon and I will be dragging out my ice fishing gear come November sometime.

    1. Thanks Linda. Where some just see pretty pictures, others see a message or symbolism or a picture truth. Your mind goes there and you totally understand the fun and challenge of a picture worth more than words can express.

  3. Thank you Gary for capturing and sharing the touches of fall you are seeing and for your words, “If what can be seen by us is amazing, just think what God sees and what he wants to show us.” My country girl heart loves hearing the Lord’s invitation to join Him in nature, to marvel at the works of His hands, to be still, and to know He is God.

  4. I know what you mean about nature being God’s voice. When I led groups into the wilderness I would often talk to them about distinguishing between natures voice (Gods Creation) and God himself personally speaking to us through HIs creation. Nature sure sets the stage in getting alone with HIm in a sense..his garden.
“Come away and meet with me. Let’s talk, in my garden”
